Alia is at the age where she'll pick up a phrase and use it ceaselessly until she tires of it and moves on to the next phrase. Right now her phrase of the moment is "or something". She likes to use the phrase when she encounters an object she's not sure about. For example, the other day I made muffins and she said she "wanted to eat a cupcake or something" because she wasn't quite sure what they were. She'll also use the phrase indiscriminately, though, like the other morning when I went in her room to get her dressed, and in the span of a minute she used the phrase three times, saying she "wanted to wear pants or something", "wanted her butterfly shirt or something", and "wanted to go downstairs or something."
