Today, due to a tip from our neighbors, we discovered the gem of Emma Long park just a half an hour away from our house. The day was perfect for a trip to the lake--hot enough to make the cool waters feel just right. The bottom of the lake was sandy, not muddy, the waters were clear and the shade was plentiful. Perfection. I don't think I could have handled both kids without my mom, and I am so thankful she's here.
