Grant's thing right now is repeating phrases from books or videos over and over and over again. His favorite Christmas movie this year was Frosty the Snowman, and he would ask to watch it every morning (before Christmas we were usually watching an episode of Super Why in the morning). I don't know if you're familiar with Frosty or not, but in the movie the little girl Karen tries to buy Frosty a ticket to the North Pole, but she doesn't have any money. "No money, no tickets" the ticket salesman tells her. Grant has now been walking around the house, waving the wand Aunt Stephanie sent to Alia for Christmas, saying "No tickets, no money" in a very stern voice. He also like to repeat the hat scene from Go Dogs, Go.
"Do you like my hat?"
"I do not"
"Good-bye"
"Good-bye"
So Grant was into repetition this holiday while Alia was into explanations. She had a crazy explanation for everything. While putting her to bed one night she informed me that she knew what snot was made of..."gooey stuff, sand and glue". She also told me that she knew how Santa would come into our house--through the air conditioner vents. Although she calls them fans. She has an explanation for everything.
