Here are Alia's favorite things at five:
Favorite books: Still loves princesses and mermaids, right now she's into the books we got at the library "Crash, Boom" and "Can you Make a Scary Face?". She has been reading bob books and sounding out the words herself. Right now she's on the yellow level.
Favorite Activities: Alia still loves playing with her princesses, but she has developed a fascination with arts and crafts as well. It's so odd--she didn't even like to draw that much a year ago, and now all she wants to do is draw, draw, draw. I'll have to upload some of her newest drawings soon.
Least Favorite Activities: Combing her hair, putting shoes on the right feet, going to sleep by herself
Favorite TV Show: Alia likes pretty much anything on TV.
Favorite Foods: Cheese, Fruit, Anything with sugar
Favorite places to go: Grandma's house, pool
Skills she's trying to master: reading, writing, writing her last name
Things she has learned how to do this past year: Write all her letters fairly well, read and count numbers to 100, writing her first name, remembering her address
My favorite things about Alia at 5: the fact that she always wants to be with me, , her incredible imagination, the many times she volunteers to help around the house, the fact that she loves playing with her brother more than anyone else, all the little drawings, packages, presents and letters she makes for Mommy and Daddy and last but not least how deeply she sleeps--nothing can wake this girl (once she's fallen asleep, of course)
