Grant at Five

So here's what I need to remember about Grant at five:

Favorite books: Magic Treehouse books, Really any book. Right now we are reading Judy Moody and the not so Bummer Summer.

Favorite Activities:  Doing whatever his sister is doing.  If I ask Grant what he wants for a snack, he'll ask "What is Alia having?" He loves throwing the football around with Mark and Alia, Telling jokes and doing magic tricks, playing Angry Birds and making Chuppa Chups on the ipad, playing Sailor Jack on the piano, and playing hide and seek.  Really he loves just about everything and laughs all the time.

Least Favorite Activities: Sometimes he gets in moods where he doesn't want to put on shoes or get dressed, but he's gotten much better about this.  Of course he doesn't like picking up.

Favorite TV Show:  Martha Speaks

Favorite Foods: Grant loves mac n cheese

Favorite places to go: School, McDonalds (Unfortunately)

Skills he's trying to master: Reading comprehension

Things he has learned how to do this past year: Read longer books, How to score soccer goals, magic penny trick

My favorite things about Grant at 5: The fact that he says "automagically" instead of "automatically".  As in, "Mom, lets go through the automagic door".  The way he loves to sing and play the piano.  The way he hugs my neck and tells me not to leave at night, but then lets me go and immediately falls asleep and sleeps through the night. The way he laughs so easily. The fact that he loves Mark and makes "I love you Dad" cards for him.  The way he draws me little notes and give them to me.  His latest was a huge heart.  Because "I love you so much" he said.
