Pool Days

We've made an effort to go to the pool at least once every week this summer. For one thing, it's so hot there's not much else to do. For another, we've been working hard on getting Alia to swim. She definitely has her up days and her down days. Sometimes she wants to swim, swim, swim. She'll keep telling to to go farther out so she can swim a longer distance. On other days she'll refuse to even put a toe in the water. Usually, though, she's hesitant at first and then quickly begins to want to swim more a more. I'm pretty sure that when it's time to swim again next summer she'll be completely afraid to go underwater again. Oh well. Grant is fun to take to the pool, because he has such a good time splashing and playing in the water. When I take him out into deep water, though, he holds onto me with his killer grip.
